The first days in Phuket
Racha, Surin and a day out in Phang Nga.

I arrived in Phuket on 15 May 2026 to begin a month in Thailand. My first stay was at ibis Styles Phuket Bangtao, with the northern beaches as a starting point.
The opening days
A visit to Racha on 16 May, Surin on 18 May and a James Bond Island trip on 19 May were among the early stops. It was the beginning of a route that would continue through islands and coastal towns farther south.
From Phuket, onward
After Phuket, the journey continued to Phi Phi, Krabi, Railay, Koh Lanta and Koh Lipe. The full trip ran until 14 June 2026.
